Measure Your Back Seat Before Choosing a Dog Hammock

Vehicle layout matters as much as the cover’s headline size.

Measure the seating area

Record the usable seat width, cushion depth and distance between the relevant headrests. Note armrests, seat-belt access and seat shapes that may affect the setup. Compare your measurements with the exact cover and configuration.

Check the attachment layout

Look at the number and placement of straps, anchors, openings and side panels. Different vehicle headrests and seats may require different attachment arrangements. A photograph of a cover installed in another car is not proof that it fits yours.

Separate the configurations

A rear-seat hammock, a bench cover and a cargo liner protect different spaces. Do not use cargo-liner measurements for a rear-seat model. Mesh panels, zippers and side coverage may also differ between options on the same supplier page.

Plan the restraint separately

A seat protector is not a crash-safety device. Follow your vehicle and pet-restraint instructions for travel, and confirm access to the required restraint points. Check the selected cover’s care instructions and installation guidance before use.

For product-specific dimensions, materials and instructions, use the exact listing and the manufacturer’s documentation. Contact RoadPaw Gear with a question.
